Eve was illegally smuggled into the United States from Costa Rica in the 1970's in order to be sold as a pet. She spent most her life living in a bird cage and when her owner died, her family did not want her. Eve is permanently hunched over due to a bone disease she developed because of chronic malnutrition.

Eve now lives with Skippy where their nutrition is monitored closely and carefully. Because Eve and Skippy are some of the most finicky monkeys, they frequently get high value nutrition like mealworms, cheese, eggs, and peanut butter in addition to their normal foods.
